EDM/SQL/PostgreSQL

Analytics Explorer connects to Enterprise Data Management (EDM) databases, standard SQL databases, and PostgreSQL databases.

To connect to an EDM, SQL, or PostgreSQL database:

1. From the Spotfire main menu, select Analytics Explorer > S&P Global Content > EDM/SQL/PostgreSQL.
2. In the Enter Credentials dialog box, select/enter the required information:

Database Type	EDM/SQL—EDM databases are full SQL so are combined for a single selection.
User Name / Password	Enter your database user name and password.
Database	All databases to which you have access using the entered user name are listed. Select the database from the list
Schema	The schema defines how the data is organized and how the relations among them are associated.
Primary Table	The table at the center of the schema. This table contains the primary key.
Primary Key	The key(column) that links or connects the tables. This key is also known as the foreign key.

3. Click Next to proceed to the Select Data dialog box.
