Spatial Column

This option converts WKT (Well-known text) to WKB (Well-known binary) files to files which can then be plotted on a map.

WKT	A text markup language for representing vector geometry objects
WKB	A binary equivalent of WKT used to transfer and store the same information in a more compact form convenient for computer processing but that is not human-readable

The WKB spatial column is added to the table. You also have the option to overwrite an existing WKB column.

1. From the table with the WKT column, right-click and select Analytics Eplorer > Spatial Column. You do not need to select rows. The calculation is run on all rows.

2. In the Spatial Converter dialog box select the WKT column and select any optional actions which include Show Map, and Overwrite wkb column.

3. Click Compute.
