Selecting your Kingdom data
Start the Kingdom data connector from the Project menu in Kingdom or Well Explorer: Project > Analytics Explorer. If you are new to Analytics Explorer, you may want to read the Kingdom Analytics Explorer first.
The data connector (Kingdom Project Data dialog box) displays all the data types that Spotfire can read from the Kingdom project. The Kingdom project information at the top of the dialog box displays the current Kingdom project and the active, primary author. These fields are read only.
To select the data for Spotfire:
- Select authors and boreholes:
Authors (optional) |
Select which authors’ interpretation you want to include. By default, no other authors are selected. |
Boreholes |
By default the option All boreholes is selected. Note that depending on which data types you select, performance can be very slow for large numbers of wells. We recommend restricting your borehole selection to a subset initially. Visible boreholes is considered a subset. |
- Next, select the data. The available data falls into one of two categories:
The data is presented as a single table in Spotfire with one row for each borehole or survey and summary information for the specific data type. |
|
Other data type tables have multiple rows for a single borehole or survey. For example, the Log data table contains a row for each digital log in the borehole. When you select data from one of the Other data types, that data type will have a check mark to the left of the name. If you Select all, the Select box for each of the other data types is checked. However, you still need to select the individual, named objects for each data type. For example, the Formation tops Select box will be checked, but you need to select which formation tops you want to load. |
- Make sure Populate table visualization is checked.
- Click Load. Again, depending on the number of boreholes and the data types selected, the load process can be slow. The Loading Kingdom Data dialog box tracks the progress of the load process.
