Kingdom Analytics
Kingdom Analytics is an interactive connection between the Kingdom database and TIBCO Spotfire. With this connection you can better visualize and QC your data and run data analytics on the Kingdom project data. Kingdom Analytics is one component of the broader application Analytics Explorer, which provides advanced AI and ML analysis tools. In Spotfire, select Tools > IHS Markit Analytics Explorer to access these advanced tools.
Accessing Kingdom Analytics
You can access Kingdom Analytics from within the Kingdom project or directly from TIBCO Spotfire:

Tools > Kingdom Analytics. Then browse to the project (*.tks) file and enter database credentials. When you open Spotfire, the window may be split into 2 sections. To expose the Tools menu, simply click on the blue menu bar at the top |
In both cases above, the first step is to select the data you want Spotfire to read. If your project has a thousands of wells, you may want to begin with subsets. Otherwise loading the data could take a very long time.
Tools specific to Kingdom include the following and are accessed from Tools > Kingdom Analytics in Spotfire:

Open the Data Selector dialog box to view or add data selections. If you uncheck a data type already loaded, the data type is not removed from Spotfire. |

Reload Data |
Reload the data that you selected. You may want to do this if you suspect an interruption in the loading, or if data has changed in the Kingdom project. |

Computes zones based on input grids in stratigraphic order. This zone column displays in the Deviation Survey Points table, and/or the Digital Logs table. |
Application and License Requirements
With Kingdom 2020 and 2021, Kingdom Analytics requires the following:
- A separate license. An Analytics Explorer license is required to access Kingdom Analytics.
- Local installation of the TIBCO Spotfire client, Desktop or Analyst. For both Desktop and Analyst, only versions 8.3.3 or later are supported. Future releases of Analytics Explorer will only support TIBCO Spotfire versions 8.8.1 or later
You can have the Spotfire Desktop and Analyst clients installed on the same computer, but the last installed version will be the one that launches when you start Kingdom Analytics.
Templates
Analytics Explorer includes Spotfire templates that provide key visualizations to help you get started with your analysis. The templates have a *.dxp file extension. When you start Spotfire, you can select to open a saved template (*.dxp) file, or create a new file. The template saves the selected data, and all created views / tables.
When you install Analytics Explorer, the templates for Kingdom, Harmony, and DNA are installed to C:\ProgramData\IHS Markit\Analytics Explorer into respective application folders. You can copy the template files to any directory to which you have access.
Note that each template produces its own visualizations tailored to specific workflows. Kingdom online resources and templates include the following:

Users can share templates between projects. In this case, the data displayed in the Spotfire window after you select the template file will be cached data from the project it was created in. The connector automatically opens. Select the data from the current project that you want to analyze. Note that the selections from the original project persist.
