Spotfire Desktop
With this product, you can author and update ad-hoc analytics, applications, and dashboards. You can interactively query, visualize, aggregate, filter, and drill into datasets of virtually any size. You can also create, edit, and update analysis files without having a TIBCO Spotfire server.
Spotfire is available as a named user license for a single user on a workstation, and as a network license for multiple users on a workstation.
Spotfire Analyst
With this product, you can use the web or Windows-client-based analysis, authoring, and consumption of analytic applications and dashboards.
To use this product you need to set up a Spotfire server as well as workstations.
With this product, you can connect Spotfire to a Harmony or Kingdom database, to EDM databases, and to SQL/PostgreSQL databases. You can also access S&P Global content (DNA and EDIN) as per your subscriptions. When you download the AnalyticsExplorer.zip file, it includes:

AnalyticsExplorer.exe: this is the installer for Analytics Explorer

Analytics Explorer SPK files: these file are necessary for Spotfire Analyst users, but can be ignored for Spotfire Desktop users. (IHS.Spotfire.AnalyticsExplorer.spk, IHS.Kingdom.Spotfire.DataSourceTool.spk, IHS.Markit.AnalyticsExplorer.Harmony.spk, JSViz_version.sdn)

The following table outlines the version compatibility between Analytics Explorer, Spotfire, Harmony, and Kingdom. Note that TIBCO only allows installation of Analyst packages to their Enterprise Cloud subscription. TIBCO does not allow installation of packages in their Basic Cloud subscription:
