Open an LAS format file

Display pane

Select the LAS file with data to import.

View basic log details about the file selected in the display pane above.

Restrict depth range

Click to display the actual depth specified in the file and then type different values in the adjacent boxes to change the zone of interest.

Import data is TVD corrected

Select whether the log is recorded in Measured Depth or True Vertical Depth so GeoSyn places the tops loaded from the local AccuMap system and user databases at the correct depth.

File filter

To limit the file types in the display pane above, from the drop-down list select *.las.

File viewer

Click to launch the file selected in the display pane above in an ASCII text editor to verify or modify its contents before importing.

Browse dir. Browse sub-dir

Click to display Directory Browser displaying LAS and GeoSyn files in either the current directory or in the current directory and all its subdirectories too.

Import

Create a synthetic using the file selected in the display pane above and based on the import defaults file settings.
