Petra database

Petra requires a database to manage project data, perform repairs and maintenance, as well as maintain user settings.

Petra internal database

The Petra internal database is integrated in main module and is intended only for single users working on non-shared private mode projects.

Internal database files

Petra Standard and Petra Workgroup private mode store individual project database files in a series of tables or files named for the data type (*.IDX, *.BLB, *.DAT).

For example, well data is stored in:

• WELL.IDX,
• WELL.DAT
• WELL.BLB
