Balanced Angle

The drilled section is treated as two separate linear sections of equal length, which equal the total length of the curve. This algorithm works well if the interval between the two measurements is long and the course has a pronounced curve. The Balanced Angle method can produce results with greater vertical depth and less deflection than in reality especially in the case of build up and can have the opposite effect for drop off.
