Culture Layer Display Settings

Culture layers can contain point, line, and polygon data as well as text and you can change the display properties for all of these items. Like other data layers, you can change display properties for all attributes or for individual attributes. To change display properties for a particular data type (polygon, line, or point), select the matching settings tab on the left, and then change the display properties as needed. Please note that Spatial Explorer cannot display .TIFF files as culture layers.

Polygon settings

When modifying display properties for all attributes, you can change the border color, thickness, and style for polygons as well as the fill color. When modifying display properties for individual attributes, you can specify a start and end color for the border and the fill, and you can then modify the line color, line thickness, line style, fill color, and fill opacity for individual attribute values or classes.

Line settings

The display properties you can modify for all line attributes include line color, thickness, and style. When modifying display properties by individual attribute, you can specify a start and end color across all attributes and also modify the line color, thickness, and style for individual attribute values or classes.

Point settings

For point attributes, you can define a point color and size (in pixels) for all attributes. For individual attributes, you can also specify a start and end color and size, and modify the color and size for individual attribute values or classes.

You can also specify display settings for two attributes at the same time. When you select the option to change display settings for two attributes, you can change color (or a range of colors) for one attribute and a range of sizes for another attribute. For example, you can modify the display of wells to show well type by color and production volume by size.

Text settings

Text display settings include the font, font size, font color, and style (bold or italics). If you are applying display settings to all attributes, you can modify the same settings for individual attribute values or classes.
