Impact Predict Visualizations

Impact Predict visualizations in Analytics Explorer include the following 5 tabs that examine performance of the selected basin over the specified time duration. Click the Example link to see a sample image for each:

Model Accuracy

Example - Model Accuracy

This set of visualizations includes the following that examine production (BOE) and various key factors:

  • Actual vs. Predicted Model Accuracy—plots actual BOE vs predicted BOE. The plot draws a trend line through the data. The tighter the cluster of points to the trend line, the more accurate the model.

  • Model Accuracy by Operator—plots actual production by operator vs predicted production by operator. Again, the tighter the cluster of points to the trend line, the more accurate the model.

  • Contribution of Location vs. Completion—plots the change in BOE due to location vs the change in BOE due to completion methods for all wells in the basin. Select specific wells (points) to view details on the Completion vs Location graph. See below.

The remaining graphs, Individual Feature Contribution and Completion & Location Contribution, populate after you select wells (points) on one of the scatter plots listed above. See Selecting data points for selection methods.

  • Individual Feature Contribution—displays how various features contributed to the actual production. Those features that fall below the 0.00 line had a negative impact on production. Those that fall above had a positive impact.

  • Completion vs Location—displays how location contributed to production vs how completion contributed to production, again with the bars falling above or below the 0.00 line.

FCA

Example - FCA

This set of visualizations includes the following that examine the contribution of various factors on production (BOE) per operator. The charts are all interactive. Select an operator from the Operator Well Count chart to see the position of their wells on the contribution charts, and vice versa.

  • Operator Well Count—displays a bar chart of all operators in the selected basin descending from the operator with the largest number of wells to the smallest.

  • Operator Location Map—displays a map with points colored by operator. Select point(s) to view the FCA plots on the right.

The factor contribution analysis charts examine the contribution of key completion factors on production, with the factor statistics plotted on the X axis, and BOE on the Y axis:

  • Lateral length

  • Proppant per foot

  • Fluid proppant ratio

  • Well spacing

  • Spud date

  • TVD

Location Analysis

Example - Location Analysis

This set of visualizations includes the following that examine the impact of location on production:

  • Contribution of Location vs. Completion—plots contribution of production (BOE) due to location vs contribution of production due to completion practices. The scatter plot is divided into 4 quadrants with the lower-left quadrant having a negative contribution from both location and completion on production performance, and the upper right quadrant having positive contribution from both location and completion practices. The points are colored by location contribution.

  • Distribution of Location Contribution—plots the number of wells per land quality designation.

  • Contribution of Location by Well—provides a visual of the location contribution on a map.

As with all other Spotfire visualizations, the data in the plots are interactively linked with each other. Select a bar or set of points and see the same data points on the other visualizations. See Selecting data points for selection methods.

 

Completion Analysis

Example - Completion Analysis

This set of visualizations includes the following that examine the impact of completion practices on production:

  • Operator Performance by Completion Contribution—provides a bar graph of the performance quartile for the wells of each operator. Select all wells for an operator, or a specific quartile (click and drag to select) and view the data on the Completion Contribution Over Time and Land Quality vs. Completion Contribution charts.

  • Contribution of Location vs. Completion—plots well performance in a quadrant colored by the statistical confidence metric (P90, P75, P50, P25).

  • Operator Ranking—plots the change in BOE due to location and completion above or below the mean for an operator.

The remaining graphs, Completion Contribution Over Time and Land Quality vs. Completion Contribution, populate after you select an operator (highlight the entire operator row or section) or wells (points) on one of the scatter plots listed above. See Selecting data points for selection methods.

Operator Deep Dive

Example - Operator Deep Dive

Select an operator on the left to populate the line graphs which display the change in the contribution to production of the following factors over time:

  • BOE

  • Location

  • Completion

  • Location vs. Completion

These graphs give an historical perspective on the performance of an operator's wells.
