Downloading and installing Petra

Petra software is downloaded from Sentinel EMS. What files you download depends on your type of installation:

•	Standalone requires only one file Alldisks.exe

•	Network installations require two files:

•	Server.exe—Petra executable files are installed on a network file share accessible to all Petra users. The location of network share is the Petra System Path.

•	Client.exe— With a network installation, each individual workstation requires a client to be recognized by the server. Client.exe is installed in C:\Geoplus1 by default. Once installed, "Config.exe" starts automatically, and you will need to specify the System Path.

One advantage of network installations is the ease of updates; Network installations only require the network server to be updated.

To download and install Petra:

1.	Log on to Sentinel EMS using your EID at https://softwarelicensing.ihsmarkit.com/ems/customerLogin.html.Your EID is in the Entitlement Certificate email that you or an administrator received from IHS Markit.

2.	Click Downloads in the upper-right corner. The Download page contains all of your entitlements.

3.	Download the product(s) and documents included with your entitlement.

4.	When the download is complete, double-click on the relevant executables(*.exe).

5.	Follow the installation wizard. No custom settings are required.

6.	Use Licensing.exe to obtain your license(s).

Network	Connect to the license server through Licensing.exe on the network file share. You need the name or IP address of the license server.
Standalone	Activate your license by connecting to Sentinel EMS through Licensing.exe the first time you start the application.
