Network licenses

The IHS Markit licensing system includes the following features:

•	Provides a common licensing platform for multiple IHS Markit products including: Petra, Kingdom, Kingdom Data Management, and Harmony Enterprise.

•	Allows you to check out commuter licenses from a network license server.

With a network license, the following two license managers are installed.

License Service	Install this license service on the computer designated as the license server. This license service provides applications access to the installed licenses.
License Manager	This license manager can be installed on multiple computers with connectivity to the license server to monitor license usage, and activate/deactivate licenses.

What this means to you

Network License administrators	Log on to the Sentinel EMS (Entitlement Management System) with the Entitlement ID (EID) to download and install the Network Licensing Tools. See Installing the network licensing tools for detailed instructions.
Petra users	Individual Petra users will first need to run the Petra License Configuration tool (C:\Geoplus1\Licensing.exe) and provide the name of the license server on the License Server tab. If you do not have this information, contact your license administrator. See User work flow—Connecting to the license server
