Changing license configurations

The Licensing.exe tool allows you to change the license server, and/or switch between network and standalone licenses if your company has both.

Network to Standalone

Note:

.The preferred workflow to obtain a non-networked license is to check out a commuter license.

1.	Close Petra and start Licensing.exe, select the Standalone Licenses tab.

2.	On the Standalone Licenses tab, click Online Activation.

3.	In the Online Activation dialog box, enter your EID and click Connect. You are now connected to EMS.

4.	Click on the Activate tab. Select product(s) and click Activate.

5.	Exit the Online Activation or Deactivation dialog.

Your Standalone License Feature Keys will be displayed in the text box on the Standalone Licenses tab.

Standalone to Network

If a network license is required, you must first deactivate the standalone license.

1.	Close Petra and start Licensing.exe, Select the Standalone Licenses tab.

2.	On the Standalone Licenses tab, click Online Activation.

3.	In the Online Activation dialog box, enter your EID and click Connect. You are now connected to EMS.

4.	Click on the Deactivate tab. Select product(s) to deactivate and click Deactivate.

5.	Exit the Online Activation dialog.

6.	Select the License Server tab and enter your license server name or IP address.

7.	Click Update Server name and then OK to close.

The standalone license is now available for activation by another user using the same EID.
