Depending on your type of installation, the following files need to be downloaded from the IHS Markit Petra Download website:
- Standalone Petra license
- Network License (require two files)
- server.exe Petra's network server installer, Server.exe installs Petra executable files on a network server accessible to all Petra users. The location of the network executable files is referred to as the Petra System Path.
- Client.exe With a network installation, each individual workstation requires a client to be recognized by the server. Client.exe is installed in C:\Geoplus1 by default. Once installed, Petra's file configuration tool "Config.exe" starts and you will need to specify the System Path.
One advantage of network installations is the ease of updates; Network installations only require the network server to be updated.
