Standalone License

Standalone licenses do not require a license manager. With a standalone license, licenses are retrieved by the user directly from the Sentinel EMS (Entitlement Management System) to the computer where Petra is installed.

Remote Access with a Standalone License

Remote access is Not supported with a Standalone license. Our license agreement defines “Standalone License” to mean a type of license that allows Clients the right to download or access the Products on a single computer. Authorized Users shall only be authorized to access the Products on such computer.

If remote access is required, you will need to upgrade to a network license. Contact sales for details.

Installing a Standalone License

Your Entitlement ID (EID) is required to connect to EMS. Your EID was included in the Entitlement Certificate email you received from IHS Markit. If you do not have this information, contact your license administrator or IHS Markit representative.

To enable a Standalone License:

  1. Download and Install Petra

  2. Start Licensing.exe (C:\Geoplus1\Licensing.exe)

  3. Select the Standalone Licenses tab

  1. In the Standalone License dialog, retrieve your license feature keys using online activation:

  1. Click Online Activation to connect to the EMS

  2. In the Online License Activation dialog box, enter your EID and click Connect

  3. Any products you are entitled to are listed on the Activate tab. Select your product(s) and click Activate. When complete, activated products are removed from the Activate tab and listed on the Deactivate tab. Your products are now ready to use.

  4. Click Disconnect to exit the EMS
