Map Module: Display > WMS Imagery Settings
WMS performance largely depends on the connection to the WMS server. Petras default WMS settings are designed to find a balance between image detail and speed.
WMS imagery settings allow you to:
·Manage WMS server settings
·View requested maps prior to download
·Manage images and layers on the Petra map
Access the WMS Imagery Settings dialog box from either:
·Menu navigation, Map Module: Display > WMS Imagery Settings
·Clicking the blue wrench icon on the Map Module's Quick List Imagery panel.

Servers:

Allows you to:
·Manage WMS image servers
·Preview WMS maps in browser prior to download
|
Layers:
|
Manage image layers
|
Refresh images during zoom
|
By default, Petra downloads a new copy of the image every time you zoom in on the map. With this option selected, Petra resizes the existing image without downloading another copy.

Display wait message during image download
|
Toggles Wait message on or off when downloading images
|
Log activity to filename
|
Creates log file of download activity
|
Image storage location
|
Sets storage location of the WMS images to either:
·Temporary folder
·PriParms Folder
Note: Some network administrators limit access to the PriParms directory.

Image resolution
|
Selects image quality for download:
·Normal - downloads reduced detail of original WMS image. Faster download with reduced image quality
·Fine - downloads entire WMS image. Slower download with increased image quality.
