SDE Database Display Settings and Attribute Filter

SDE databases can contain point data, line data, and polygon data. To set the display properties for most SDE data layers, see Setting layer display properties. If you are setting display properties for point data (for example, wells), then more options are available. For example, along with the options to specify the same display properties for all data attributes or by individual attribute, you can specify a symbol to display for each data point and you can display data by two data attributes.

You can also change the appearance of labels on the map by changing the Label Settings.

You can set the area of interest (AOI) for all of your SDE layers by clicking the gear beside the name of the SDE database:

When displaying SDE layers, you can also filter the display by specific attributes. With the list of SDE layers displayed in the left pane under data sources, click the Settings gear beside a single layer name to open the Attributes Filter dialog box.

The available filters will depend on the layer selected.
